This church in Huntington Beach has been offering the community a place to pray together, and get inspiration and spiritual insight into the Bible for 107 years.  Now, as a democratic organization, the members have decided to join with congregations in the nearby communities of Seal Beach, Newport Beach, and Costa Mesa.  As of September 1, we will no longer be holding services at this location in Huntington Beach.

You are invited to come to hear our last Sunday church service—where you will hear readings comprised of citations from the King James Bible and correlative passages from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, written by Mrs. Eddy—on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 10:00am.

All are welcome!

This church also holds a Wednesday evening meeting where brief and inspiring readings on a timely subject are read.  These are followed by testimonies from  those attending the meeting who wish to share how the study of Christian Science is blessing their lives.  Our last Wednesday meeting will be held at 7:30 pm on August 30th, 2017.

Reading Room

If you need a break in your busy day, there is a library/bookstore located just a few blocks from Main Street that is open to the public. Located at 810 Olive Avenue, free parking is provided. Drop in over your lunch hour to read the unbiased and award-winning international newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor, to keep abreast of current events, or renew your acquaintance with the Bible.  You may also read or purchase our Christian Science textbook,  Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy which gives unique insight into familiar Bible passages and tells how you can make them relevant to your life today to help you meet each and every challenge. Currently, our Reading Room is open from 11 to 2, Tuesday through Saturday.

      Hi, Cynthia–
Thanks for inquiring about our church. The Christian Science denomination has branch churches all over the world! Ours in Huntington Beach was just one of those branches, and the same service is given in every branch on Sunday. The service is based on a Bible Lesson topic, and you will hear the same lesson read at any Christian Science church that you attend. Those of us who were going to the church on 8th and Olive are now going to either the church on Naples in Belmont Shores; the church at Sea Base on PCH in Newport Beach, or to the branch church in Costa Mesa on Mesa Verde East Drive. You can find these locations and the times of service at PrayerfulLiving.com This website will be closing soon. If you have any further questions, you can email me at: waremorris@gmail.com
